If you have an urgent medical problem that cannot wait until we are open, please ring 111 for assistance.

If you have a minor injury, rather than a medical problem, you can also attend a:

• Minor Injuries Unit located at Acorn Health Centre, 421 Blackburn Road, Accrington BB5 1RT. Services available from  08.00 - 20.30
• Minor Injuries Unit at Rossendale Primary Care Centre, Bacup Road, Rawtenstall. BB4 7PL. Services available from 08.00 - 20.00

Out-of-hours services are generally busy, so please consider carefully before requesting to see a doctor and only do so if you truly cannot wait until the surgery reopens.

In a genuine emergency, you should call 999. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute a medical emergency.

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

• Treat yourself at home
• Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
